Late Work Policy


For EXCUSED absences: 

Students have one day for each excused day of absence to complete missed homework and turn it in for full credit.  Students should visit the Homework Wall in class, this website, or phone a classmate to find out what assignments they missed.


For UNEXCUSED absences or LATE work: 

I will accept late work within the quarter for REDUCED credit, up until ONE WEEK before the quarter ends.  Parents should advise their students to always complete a missing assignment; some points are always better than no points.


HOMEWORK DETENTION: 

Periodically, I will look through my grade book and do a sweep of all students who have multiple missing assignments.  Those students will be assigned a Homework Detention for the next Friday from 3:05 - 4:30 to complete those missing assignments.  This is to prevent your student from falling too far behind too quickly to realistically catch up within a grading period.  Please support me in these detentions--they are in the best interest of your student's success.
